Designing a new learning space

After our gallery walk today, please respond to a few of the following questions:
    • Looking over your sticky notes, reflect on today's class, and post a relevant question about creativity and/or learning spaces that starts with "What if...?"
      • Ex: What if there were exercise spaces throughout the school (running, yoga, weights, climbing walls, etc.), and there was a 30 minute gap between second and third hour each day to do something physical?

  6. What if every couple of hours we had a break where we could work out, play games like ping pong or pool, or anything else you wanted to do for a brain break?

  7. What if every classroom was able to be indoor/ outdoor? You would be able to collapse one wall and you be able to be inside to learn or outside and active while you learn.

  8. What if classroom walls weren't white? What if classes got to paint their walls/do murals and class projects on them? Just like color in hospital rooms speeds up the recovery process and improves the patient's mental health... colorful classrooms could foster creativity and an open mind.

  10. What if instead of the lights we have now that we would have lamps and more eye sensitive lights that do not cause headaches? or that each desk had a build in personal light that had different settings for how bright you wanted them, like the laptop brightness settings, and then the classroom had no over head lights just a couple lamps?

  24. I agree with jackson, there is no point in time so far i have been taught to do a w40 or my own taxes, how to manage money, buy a house or any of these things. I feel as if high school should be more of a college environment as far as being able to choose classes that fit you and that will help you later in life instead of busy work classes
