Designing a new learning space

After our gallery walk today, please respond to a few of the following questions:
    • Looking over your sticky notes, reflect on today's class, and post a relevant question about creativity and/or learning spaces that starts with "What if...?"
      • Ex: What if there were exercise spaces throughout the school (running, yoga, weights, climbing walls, etc.), and there was a 30 minute gap between second and third hour each day to do something physical?

Act IV Witness blog

As you read Act IV silently, please share your observations and insights on the blog.

Please post at least twice by Monday.

You can earn credit by asking a question, answering another's question, making a connection or prediction, reflecting on a focus question, or making observations about a theme you see.

You must directly link to text.

This counts in lieu of an AP chart for this act.

Happy thinking!

To be a witness

  • What does it mean to be a “witness”?  Have you ever been a “witness” to something that made you uncomfortable or made you question your environment? Without going into particulars, how did you handle the situation? If you are a “witness,” does that mean you are obligated to become a participant?

Chapters 1-5 OMAM character paragraph

Please go back through your annotations from chapters 1-4 of Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men.  Come to some conclusions about one character and his/her connection to one of our big ideas.  Then, write your thesis and a short paragraph explanation/analysis/response here.  Use at least one quote and one example in your paragraph.  You can use this format for your thesis: John Steinbeck in Of Mice and Men uses _______________ (character) to illustrate _____________________ (truth, conflict, concern) about _____________________ (one of our big ideas).
